Rock legends ZZ Top will be honored with the Living Legends award at Classic Rock magazine’s Roll of Honour awards ceremony. The event will take place at London’s Roundhouse Theater on Nov. 13.

Previous winners of the Living Legend award include Iggy Pop, Jimmy Page, Alice Cooper, Lemmy, Jeff Beck and Ozzy Osbourne. “ZZ Top band members are excitedly gearing up to attend the 2012 Classic Rock Awards,” guitarist Bily Gibbons said. “A celebration held in a timely manner following the long awaited release of the new ZZ disc, ‘La Futura.’  Good times for sure…! We’ve stuck it out long enough to where this once unpredictable style, which has no basis other than oddness, brought us back into vogue.”

‘La Futura,’ produced by Rick Rubin, will be released on Sept. 11. It is ZZ Top’s first album since 2003′s ‘Mescalero.’ Several of the categories in the Roll of Honour are chosen by readers, including Best New Band, Album of the Year, Reissue of the Year, Film/DVD of the Year, Band of the Year and Event of the Year. Fans can cast their vote votes by going to Classic Rock’s website.
