I don't know about you, but for me, local history is so interesting. I can't read enough about it. Every time I go to Barnes and Noble in New Hartford, I spend most of my time in the New York history section of the bookstore. So, as you can imagine, I have read a lot of books that are on the local history shelves. If you're looking for a few suggestions on what books to read about history in the Mohawk Valley and Central New York, here are four of my recommendations that are worth a read.

I purchased these books from Barnes and Noble in New Hartford. They can also be purchased through Amazon.com.
