Northern Oneida County, Madison County, Southern Oneida, County, Chenango County, Otsego County, Delaware County, and Sullivan County.

ACCUMULATIONS

1 TO 2 INCHES OF SNOW MOST AREAS... WITH AS MUCH AS 3 OR 4 INCHES POSSIBLE OVER NORTHERN AND EASTERN PORTIONS OF ONEIDA COUNTY... AND LOCALLY LESS THAN AN INCH POSSIBLE OVER SECTIONS OF THE CATSKILLS AND POCONOS. ICE ACCRETIONS WILL BE A TENTH OF AN INCH OR LESS OVER THE MAJORITY OF THE REGION... BUT COULD LOCALLY REACH BETWEEN A TENTH AND QUARTER OF AN INCH IN EASTERN SECTIONS OF ONEIDA... OTSEGO... AND DELAWARE COUNTIES.

TIMING

Snow will spread into the region this morning between 8 and 10AM. Snow will change over to sleet and freezing rain during the midday today between 11AM and 2PM. Some of the snow may change over to rain or drizzle for a time late in the day and this evening. As temps approach freezing, expect light freezing rain overnight.

TEMPERATURES

In the upper teens and 20's this morning, eventually reaching the upper 20's to lower 30's early in the evening.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS

Slippery travel conditions are likely to prevail on untreated surfaces. A winter weather advisory means that periods of snow, sleet, or freezing rain will cause travel to be difficult at times. Be prepared for slippery roads, and limited visibility. Use caution on the roads today.
