Wing Fling Giveaway Winner – Bob Malachowski (Oriskany Manufacturing)

After delivering some 30 pizzas since joining Oldiez 96 this past July and meeting many fans of the station, I have to say that Bob Malachowski is the epitome of the dedicated and loyal Oldiez listener! I walked into the lobby at Oriskany Manufacturing and up comes this guy beaming from ear to ear with a Beatles T-shirt on (which he wore for the occasion, by the way). He shakes my hand and before I can even introduce myself I realized I didn't have to... He listens to Oldiez all day long and knew more about us than I think I did! He's a rabid Rewards Club VIP member, entering every contest and calling in for every giveaway but unfortunately for all of his efforts, he'd never actually won anything. That is, until now.

We got to talking about anything and everything from what his job duties were to Paul and the Beatles and other classic rock topics and trivia. He even mentioned some on-air habits of his favorite Deejays that I don't even think we are aware of! This dude pays attention and is very involved and was a complete joy to meet and talk to. I was enjoying the convo so much I forgot I was there to drop off his large pizza and 50 wings from Omega Pie, so handed it to him and then beat feet. I was there to put a smile on his face, but he pasted one on me too that stayed there long after I left. Here's to you Bob! Keep listening and thanks for just being plain cool.
