WIBX 950 – This Day In The History Of Our Radio Station

It was 66 years ago (May 2, 1947) that the FCC granted WIBX a move from 1230 am to 950 am, and with it an upgraded signal from 500 watts to 5,000.

Then, on April 25, 1948, the change officially took place. This audio clip details the final broadcast of WIBX on 1230, and the welcoming of a new era on 950 am, which we proudly continue to this day.
