On April 13, 2013, Townsquare Media will hold Culture Fest at the The Stanley Theater in  Utica. Why you ask? We want to showcase all the Cultures that live here in Central New York. 

Here's a quick taste of some of the businesses coming to this event, and a little information about some of them:

Bonomo's - Started in 1962, They were originally called "Dari Isle" but that all changed in 1983 when they were changed to Bonomo's Dari Creme. The company was started by Guy Bonomo and his wife. The business is still family owned and a Bomomo is always in on the grounds.

Food Caribe - Founded by Mr. Guillermo P. Rodriguez in 1970. It was the weather and latino music of Miami that made him leave his native home of Cuba. What kept him here was the opportunity to share with the USA all the tropical products of his native homeland.

Juanita's Soul Classics - Juanita fist started her business as an Inn in the Late 80's called "The White House Berries".

Mercers Dairy - Mercers has been a local institution for over 60 years and has been a massive phenomenon for the longest time. In 2007 they created wine ice cream which boosted their legacy.

In 1991, a small group of experienced pizza chefs noticed some things lacking in Madison's pizza choices. These dedicated people formed PIZZA EXTREME with some principles. Only the finest and freshest meats, vegetables and seasonings would ever be used. There would be no short cuts using "Prepared Elsewhere" ingredients. Rather than opening plastic bags, defrosting and adding water; the chefs can be seen chopping, simmering and hand trimming. Portions of ingredients would not be skimped on to give the perception of "More For Less". PIZZA EXTREME does not believe in deceiving or confusing their customers.

 

Recovery - was founded by Don Led Duke on the thought about family first. On their website he states:

 “A place where sports teams of all ages could come, either after practice or a game-a place where they could relax, grab a bite to eat, and watch a game.” 

Zabroso - Ruben, the owner brought his great culinary experience from Culinary Institute of America. After working in highly-rated restaurants he crated and opened Zabroso.
