What Would Happen If John Lennon Auditioned For ‘The Voice’?

The music scene has changed drastically since the Beatles entered the scene half a century ago, and much of it for the worse according to the YouTube user who did this mash-up video. It's sad because this footage is actually quite believable, but at the same time people like Lennon inspired many and encouraged us to go further than he ever could've 'imagined' anyway so asking the question if he could've successfully auditioned for The Voice is like comparing apples and oranges. Let's put the shoe on the other foot: would an act like Daughtry or Kelly Clarkson (or something edgier) been well received on the Ed Sullivan Show in the 50's and 60's? I mean, Marty McFly couldn't do it while traveling back only 30 years, so how much worse could it be if we shoved 60 years of musical evolution into a quick 90 second showcase? Ka-BOOM!
