We’re All One With Boston Today

Regardless whether you’re a Yankee fan or part of the Red Sox Nation, we’re all one with Boston today during the 118th running of the Boston Marathon. With the tragedy of last year still a vivid memory, the whole country is one with the thought of Boston – B-Strong.

I wore a Boston Red Sox hat today and proudly posed in front of the B – Strong poster that I received last year, days after the Marathon at Fenway Park. That poster has hung in my office ever since.

“Rita Jeptoo repeats with a course record time of 2:18:57. It’s her third career Boston Marathon title, also winning in 2006. Shalane Flanagan, who lead for the first half of the race, finished seventh with a personal best time.

Meb Keflezighi makes history, becoming the first American man to win the Boston Marathon since 1983 after holding off a late charge from Wilson Chebet. Keflezighi fist-pumped through the final meters before reaching the finish and bursting into tears.”
