Watch Apple Cider Being Made at the Best Cider Mills in the Utica Area [VIDEOS]

Located just north of Cooperstown in Otsego County, Fly Creek Cider Mill is one of the largest, and best known, mills in Upstate New York. After shopping the store, the apple dumplings served outside near the pond, are my favorite treat.

Near the Greek Peak ski resort in Cortland County is Hollenbeck. The cider mill has one of the best cider viewing areas. If you've never seen the process, make your way through the crowd for a view. If you're a cider donut fan, be aware that there are seperate lines for buying the donuts and the cider and other goodies.

In the village of Clinton, down the hill from Hamilton College is one of Central New York's hidden gems. The Clinton Cider Mill's retail space is literally built around the mill. The noisy work of cider making is part of the ambiance.

Located just off of Route 12 south of Watertown, Burrville Mill is an historic mill with great views out back. The shop is tiny. The line for cider and donuts winds its way thought the entire retail space most weekends. Grab your goodies then check out the waterfall out back.

Located off of Route 29 west of Saratoga Springs, Eagle Mills offers more and just the cider and donuts. They're a full fledged family fun park with railroad, covered bridge and ice cream made on premises.
