Over the past few weeks, many communities across the country have helped out New York City, New Jersey, Connecticut, and of course New Jersey to help people affected by Sandy. Locally we helped out with Herb Philipson's and now the Limp Lizard is reaching out in the best way it can, by providing great food.

Last night volunteers from the Limp :izard had grills fired up cooking pulled pork sandwiches, beans, and other sides. They took all this great food and loaded it up on a few trucks with food and other supplies with plans to head to Toms River, New Jersey, just outside of the hard hit coastal area.

The idea came from Limp Lizard's owner Chuck Orlando. He tells YNN it's a good idea to help out our neighbors.

"It's just neighbors helping neighbors, and Chuck is always helping and supporting causes like this. And so it was Chuck's idea and we just brainstormed it together and people donated food, donated money, and here we are on our way down to New Jersey," said John Muldoon, PR Director for Limp Lizard.

The group will have enough pulled pork fixings to feed about 2,500 people.
