15 Utica College Hockey Players Named To The 2013-14 ECAC West All-Academic Team

This is a Utica College record, 15 players were named to the 2013-14 ECAC West All-Academic Team. The best part, our Pioneers had the most representatives out of any of the Conference’s nine teams.

According to UC, here’s a list of the players:

Seniors

1) Jennifer Hamel (Ithaca, NY/Northwood School)

2) Vanessa Maines (Boxborough, MA/Boston Jr. Shamrocks)

3) Caitlyn Moccaldi (Clinton, NY/Clinton High School Boys)

4) Meredith Tice (Hershey, PA/Washington Pride)

Juniors

5) Madison Christoff (Danville, CA/San Ramon Valley)

6) Kelsey Dowdall (Smiths Falls, ONT/Nepean)

7) Nicole Kieffer (Rome, NY/Lysander Lightning)

8) Marissa McNamara (Camillus, NY/Lysander Lightning)

9) Nicole Schwartz (Danville, CA/San Jose Sharks)

10) Ashley Ward (Forsyth County, GA/Forsyth High School) Sophomores

11) Gabrielle Abbott (Scottsdale, AZ/St. Marks)

12) Janessa Haasbeek (Grand Forks, ND/Canadian International Hockey Academy)

13) Morgan Reed (Fort Myers, FL/Cushing Academy)

14) Mackenzie Roy (Clinton, NY/Lysander Lightning)

Freshman

15) Victoria Pelton (Sterling Heights, MI/Belle Tire)

To be named part of the All-Academic squad, a student-athlete must have completed at least one academic year at their current institution and have a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.00 on a 4.00 scale. Congrats to all of of UC athletes!
