Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed Apology Includes Free DLC, Games

Ubisoft Montreal and Toronto's CEO came forward with a statement today regarding the disappointment players have felt over Assassin's Creed Unity and what the company plans on doing to fix it.

In a post on Assassin's Creed's website today, Ubisoft Montreal and Toronto's CEO, Yannis Mallat, posted an update for Assassin's Creed Unity that will hopefully make up for the less-than-stellar launch of the game. "I want to sincerely apologize on behalf of Ubisoft and the entire Assassin's Creed team," Mallat stated. "These problems took away from your enjoyment of the game, and kept many of you from experiencing the game at its fullest potential."

As compensation for the glitches and technical issues that the game has experienced thus far, Ubisoft is giving out Unity's upcoming DLC, Assassin's Creed Unity: Dead Kings, for free. Season Pass holders will also have "the choice of one additional game from a selection of Ubisoft titles for free." In an attempt to continue to fix all the things wrong with Unity, Ubisoft is releasing its third patch (with 300+ fixes) today that will hopefully address "issues related to the game's stability and performance, matchmaking and connectivity, gameplay and menus."
