I often think about all the neat toys that were out when I was growing up. Of course how was I to know back then that many of these toys are worth a small fortune today if they were kept in mint condition. Her are five of the toys that I had growing up, wishing now that I still had them.Lets take a trip down memory lane. See if you remember any of these toys.

1.  The close and play record player-  You put your record on the turntable but it would not play until you closed the top.

2.  The Kenner Cartoon Movie Projector-  You would get slides of your favorite cartoons, like The Flintstones, The Jetsons, Yogi Bear and more. There would be about 8 to 10 pictures on each slide that you would push through the projector. I used to wait til night time and watch the cartoons on my bedroom wall.

3.  Battling Tops-  These were really neat, you could have up to 4 players. There was a little arena that you could set on a table. You would wind the tops up with a pull cord that came with the game, then everybody would pull the cords sending their tops out into the ring. Usually 3 out of the 4 tops get knocked out of the arena, the last top still spinning or left in the arena wins.

4.  The Lost In Space Robot-  I used to love the show as a kid and finally got the robot for Christmas in 1967. It would move forward waving its arms shouting danger, danger. It was also the same voice used on the robot in the TV show.

5.  Hot Wheels Cars-  There was a time when I had nearly the complete collection. If I had them all today in cases, who knows I might only have to work 2 days a week. Hey don't forget that we have fun for kids of all ages. Take a ride with us on the toy express to the national toy hall of fame in Rochester on January 26th. It is a great event for the whole family.
