Arguably the debate of the century, or quite possibly of all time, at least since toilet paper has been placed on rolls.  Relationships have ended over it, friendships crushed, and who knows, maybe even wars started over it.

But just what is the right way to hang a toilet paper roll?  It has been mentnioed that you use less paper when you drape the end over the top of the roll, simply because it is easier to see and you also don’t have to reach as far to grab the paper, and if you buy paper that has print on it, it appears over the top side.  Not to mention, every four star hotel in the world does it that way, right?

However, I also hear that positioning your roll so it faces back, or the “under method” makes it harder for cats and toddler to unravel the whole thing.  Here are some other arguing points.  Take a look and tell me what you think.  I’ll go ahead and give my opinion now…It doesn’t matter so long as there actually is toilet paper to use.

Over – Hotels can’t be wrong, they replace more tp than anyone.

Over – Otherwise you can’t do the fancy fold at the end of the paper.

Over – Although no scientific proof, with under the tp is actually touching the wall where germs may be resting.
