"If you have beer, they will come." Or at least that's what I was thinking as the biggest craft brew event that this world (ahem, city) has ever seen came and went at the Stanley Theater  stage this past weekend.

As the "Honorary Brewmaster" of this past weekend's "Utica On Tap", I'd just like to say thank-you to all of you who made the event a huge success.

It was a sell-out crowd at Utica on Tap Saturday, at the Stanley Theater. Hundreds enjoyed over 95 craft beers. Thanks for making another successful event that will hopefully become a yearly tradition.  See photos from the day.

Utica on Tap took place at the Stanley Theater in Utica on Saturday March 22, 2014 for two sold out sessions to sample 95 different craft beers. Captain Lawrence is coming to "Utica On Tap" this Saturday at the Stanley Theater. That's Captain Lawrence Brewing Company of Elmsford, New York. Here's what you can sample from the "Captain".

One of the breweries featured this Saturday at 'Utica On Tap' at the Stanley Theater is Victory Brewing Company of Downingtown, Pennsylvania and Parkesburg, Pennsylvania. Tickets are $30 in advance, $40 at the door, which entitles you to sample over 90 different beer from some of the best craft brewers (must be 21 years of age with valid ID). I'm not the biggest draft beer fan in the world, but once with no other choice, I picked Shock Top Beer.  I think the logo was what attracted me.  When it arrived with a slice of orange immersed in it, I was even more concerned, as I'm not big fan of fruit in my beer either.  Since that 1st sampling, I've been a huge fan.  Shock Top is one of the 95 beers that will be appearing at our Utica On Tap

With the actual St. Patrick's Day today, some of you may wish to experience some real Irish fare. Of course, a brew or two may come into play, and one Irish beverage that may be of interest is a beer blend called "Black & Tan".

As a former tour guide at the F.X. Matt Brewing Company, I am always interested in "brews news" from my Alma Mater. The brewery has just introduced a new 12-packed called: "Can Do" Mix Pack.
