One of my favorite things is to read about local history. It's amazing just how much has happened right here in Central New York and the Mohawk Valley. I recently started reading this book "The People of the Standing Stone: The Oneida Nation from the Revolution Through the Era of Removal". It talks about the history of the Oneidas, and the book discusses the Six Nations of the Iroquois (Mohawk, Oneida, Onondaga, Cayuga, Seneca and Tuscarora). And being a person who likes history, I did a little bit more research on the Six Nation of the Iroquois, especially the languages spoken. Here are some videos and readings about how to speak the languages of the Mohawk, Oneida, Onondaga, Cayuga, Seneca and Tuscarora.
