Writer Chris Columbus says he is ‘actively talking about’ the ‘Gremlins’ reboot.

A lot of your favorite 80s classics have been rebooted or remade into not-so-classics. It's the unfortunate state of the movie business. But, today, we get one back. The proposed ‘Gremlins’ remake, that was on the “fast track” as recently as this past April, may be as dead as a Gremlin in a hot tub.

How old do you feel now?  The Spielberg blockbuster is 30 years old. 8 June, 1984, we were all lining up at the theaters to catch this PG-13 horror flick.  Where on earth did the time go?

It's been a while since we reported anything new about the 'Gremlins' reboot over at Warner Bros., but apparently someone's been feeding the execs over there after midnight because sources say it's not only still happening -- it's been put on the fast track.
