The Boston Bruins may have lost their first game since the marathon bombings, but the city won the hearts of America after taking over the National Anthem before the game.

We at Townsquare Media are truly saddened by the senseless loss of 8 year old Martin Richard during the Boston Marathon bombings. Our prayers go out to his friends and family. Tonight (April 17th, 2013) The Buffalo Sabres will take on Boston Bruins in NHL action and there will be an empty seat where this Bruins fan should be sitting.

So much for home ice advantage. The Boston Bruins defeated the Vancouver Canucks, 4-0, on the Canucks’ home ice Wednesday night to win the Stanley Cup, the first time the franchise has claimed hockey’s holy grail since 1972.
