Taco Fusion’s $35 Lion Meat Tacos Have Been Taken Off The Menu
Have you ever wanted to try and spice up your tacos? Add Lion Meat! That’s what Taco Fusion in Florida did. They sold $35 Lion meat tacos. However, they had to put that to an end.
Taco Fusion located in Tampa is well known for serving exotic game in its tacos. Sounds a little odd, but tasty. Customers gave the $35 lion tacos mixed reviews, but that wasn’t the reason Taco Fusion stopped selling them. A wildlife group pointed out to them that lions are on the endangered species list, and that they didn’t belong on a menu.
“Thank you all for the feedback regarding the lion meat promotion at Taco Fusion. Some of you were supportive, some of you were angry. We listened to everyone and decided to no longer carry lion,” the restaurant said on its website. “The lion meat is sold out and we do not plan to carry it again. Thank you all for your feedback.”
Don’t let the fact they don’t sell Lion tacos stop you from enjoying other treats. ABC News KABC found that Taco Fusion also serves shark, gazelle, ostrich, beaver and camel. Yum.
