Syracuse Wins, Boeheim Wins #880

#2 Syracuse Orange rallied to beat their Big East rival and #11 Georgetown in overtime 64-61. The win was one for the record books for coach Jim Boeheim. The win was his 880th career victory moving him into third place in all time wins for division 1 coaches. The win moved Boeheim past North Carolina legend Dean Smith. The Syracuse coach trails only Bobby Knight and current Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski. The Orange, who were ranked #1 before suffering their first loss, are now 24-1 overall and 11-1 in the Big East.
