According to an article by John Swann at sunyit.edu:

Black History Month exhibit in Gannett Gallery

In celebration of Black History Month, a solo art exhibition entitled “Variations on a Theme: Quilt Series Plates Ceramics by David MacDonald” will be on display in SUNYIT’s Gannett Gallery February 4-26. An opening reception planned for February 5 was postponed due to the weather and will be rescheduled.

The artist, David MacDonald, is a faculty member of the School of Art and Design at Syracuse University who says his work in ceramic forms receives most of its creative inspiration from an investigation of his African heritage. His work is in the permanent collections of the Studio Museum in Harlem, Everson Museum of Art in Syracuse, and Montclair Art Museum, New Jersey.

The Gannett Gallery is located on the first floor of SUNYIT’s Kunsela Hall. Gallery

Hours are Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. For more information please call 315-792-7819.”
