Have you seen the Pixar movie "Up"? It's the one where a house flies after being attached to hundreds of helium balloons. Well the fine folks from National Geographic wanted to see if the concept would really work so they built a replica house from the movie, attached it to hundreds of large helium balloons and guess what -- it does! The 16-foot by 16-foot house is really nothing more than a frame -- but it works! Three hundred colorful weather balloons were used to lift it off the ground and the house will be part of a new National Geographic TV series called How Hard Can It Be? The house reached 10,000 feet and flew for about an hour. Even more amazing it landed on top of and killed a woman known only as the Wicked Witch of the East.
