The French are famous for the art of conversation, but a woman from outside Bordeaux got guff from the phone company after complaining she couldn't have talked enough to merit a 12 quadrillion euro bill. The BBC reports when Solenne San Jose told a phone company representative she couldn't pay her bill -- which was officially 11,721,000,000,000,000 euros, or about 16 quadrillion dollars -- the helpful operator offered to set up a payment plan to hack away at the astronomical fee.  In the end, the phone company realized its mistake, chalking up the bill -- which should have been around 152 bucks -- to a printing error.
