Police say a 26-year-old Florida man was arrested on child neglect charges Sunday after he told a liquor store clerk to hold his tot while he got a smoke and then took off to a neighboring strip club to drink. According to news reports, police say Kenneth Rowe of Daytona Beach brought his 10-month-old son to the Shark Lounge and Liquor Store, and after leaving the infant with the stranger, he disappeared, only to return later drunk.

According to a police report, when Rowe returned for the baby, the cops were on his tail and saw him lay down in the street, and later hide in the bushes to avoid capture. Rowe was arrested and the baby was returned to his mom.
