Last night's violent thunderstorms took their toll on central New York, downing limbs and causing power outages. Our thoughts and prayers go out to families who lost loved ones in the tornado that hit Madison County and those who sustained major damage. Fortunately, my neighborhood in New Hartford didn't get hit too hard.

My yard had minor damage, with a few tree limbs and branches down, but that's about all.

Some of my neighbors had whole trees struck down, and hopefully no injuries or major damage to homes or vehicles.
