I know what you’re thinking: I just saw another miracle on the Hudson. This time instead of a plane full of passengers you’re looking at a space shuttle. No, our astronauts didn’t make an emergency landing here.

Space Shuttle Enterprise got a ride from a barge on the Hudson from Jersey City to it’s new home at the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum. On its way to its destination, the Enterprise floated by the Statue of Liberty, the World Trade Center site and other landmarks. The shuttle was accompanied by a flotilla of ships, including police, fire department and even a yellow taxi boat.

Multimedia producer Tara Gore said,

"There's so much going on in New York that you can walk out of your office and see the space shuttle floating by."
