Often times, I have thought to myself, what a great job it would be to work at Disney World in Orlando.  Free admission to the park for me and my family, meet great people, and why not, it is, after all, the happiest place on earth, right?  Here is some information about working for Disney that most people don't realize.  Take a look...

1.  Characters do not have a say in what character they are.  You wanted to be Mickey?  Tough, you're Pluto, or maybe even one of the obscure, rarely seen characters.

2.  Kids can put you in a quite awkward position.  One employee, who played Pocohontas, who is based on a real character, was approached by a child who informed her that he had visited her grave just the year before.

3.  Employees have reported that the cafeteria very closely resembles that of a high school cafeteria.  Certain groups stay together and they talk about you behind your back.

4.  Parents encourage their kids to hit the characters.  I guess to some this is considered funny and maybe a chance for their youtube video to go viral, but it's unfortunate that this is happening and the parents are encouraging it.

5.  Visitors to Disney do some weird stuff.  Face it, everybody in the world can't be perfect like us, right?  Here is a quote from a young lady that was playing a fairy...

"I was Silvermist, & we were meeting our last family of the night in Pixie Hollow. Tinkerbell, Rosetta & I were having fun with this little girl who was about 5. Her mom was with her, & the girl was being silly & running around laughing at us & talking a lot. You take individual pictures with the fairies, but we decided to ask if she wanted a special picture with all three of us. We stood together, & the mom said "Stand between them!" The little girl all of a sudden got really shy, & ran to her mom & hid. Her mom said "Oh no, are you being a little stinker? I know, if you give mommy a lick will you feel better?" The little girl nodded & smiled.

She then proceeded to lick her mom's face, from her chin to her forehead. She laughed, her mom laughed, & Tinkerbell, Rosetta, & me are standing there horrified at the m night shymalan twist this meet & greet has taken. The little girl happily walked over to us & took the picture after she did it.

Never forget."

So, ultimately, with the good comes the bad, as it is with many other "dream" jobs, right?  As I always say, nice place to visit, wouldn't want to live there.
