Many therapists have gotten rich hearing stories about how their patients, at an impressionable age, caught their parents in the throes of passion. Of course, it’s only natural that Slash can pretty much top everybody’s own story of seeing their parents in flagrante delicto, because he’s Slash. In a new interview, he reveals that he once walked in on his mother and David Bowie.

“He was always over – they were always together,” Slash told the NME. “I caught them naked once. They had a lot of stuff going on, but my perspective was limited. Looking back on it, I know exactly what was going on. When I look back on that whole combination of people, I can only imagine how freaky it was.”

Slash’s mother, Ola Hudson, was Bowie’s costume designer in the mid-’70s during his ‘Thin White Duke’ period. This involved Bowie’s album ‘Station to Station’ and movie ‘The Man Who Fell to Earth,’ both of which were released in 1976. “My mum started working with David professionally at first,” he continued. “I’m pretty sure that’s how it started. Then it turned into some sort of mysterious romance that went on for a while after that… She did all that and he was around for a while.”
