Imagine being Mia Munselle, who one day walked out to tend her pigs like she's done every day before, but this time noticed something in the mud that wasn't supposed to be there. She picked it up, discovered it was a video camera and like anyone would do, turned it on to watch what's on it! Here's what she found....

Now while this is a really cool vid and a certain skydiver is probably ecstatic after their 8-month lost camera had been recovered, my skeptical mind jumped into high gear. Why didn't the camera break on impact when dropped from a few thousand feet up? Why was she able to turn it on at all after it sat there for 8 months when it's battery charge doesn't last more than a few hours when on? Assuming it was dead, did she just happen to have the proper charger laying around to charge it up and view? She doesn't seem all that internet savvy as she only joined YouTube this past April and this was her only video, posted just a few days ago. I'm not saying of course that this is a hoax, BUT I would like some more info in order to put my mind at rest over it. At 4 million views as of this writing, it's definitely viral and interesting... After all, what a better way to find the owner of a camera than to post it online and hope they see it...

Now, I have a GoPro AND an airplane and am very tempted to try this experiment out myself if it weren't for the fact that my camera cost $300. Most GoPros are equipped with waterproof cases (but not shock-resistant ones, to THAT degree anyway) so maybe if I find a big enough body of water and drop it, the camera just might survive, or a giant snow drift. Stay tuned, and Mia, in between all of your network interview offers, maybe you could drop us a note with a little more to the story... Has the owner been one of those 4 million viewers and did the camera get returned?

UPDATE- I found a story that confirms this as a true event and not a publicity stunt. Sorry Mia, lol. Conspiracy theorists everywhere can be heard with their collective groan, haha... Still wanna try that though.
