'Sammy Hagar & Friends' might be the most guest star-studded rock records of the fall, and Hagar has just released the video for 'Knockdown Dragout,' which features Joe Satriani, Denny Carmassi, and Kid Rock.

The song, which serves as what Rolling Stone calls "a spirited rally cry for rock," finds Hagar exhorting listeners to "show 'em what we mean by rock & roll." To that end, 'Knockdown Dragout' features a vocal cameo from Kid Rock, with Hagar's current Chickenfoot compadre Satriani chipping in some lead guitar while former Montrose drummer Carmassi drives the beat.

The clip, filmed in stark black-and-white, intersperses shots of Hagar shouting the lyrics (with brief appearances from Rock and Satriani) between scenes depicting dudes getting knocked down and dragged out in the ring. (Eagle-eyed UCR editor-in-chief Matthew Wilkening suggests that professional wrestlers Bob 'Hardcore' Holly and Billy 'Mr. Ass' Gunn might show up in there, but we can't confirm.) The closing shot finds Hagar posing with a pair of boxing trunks that likely belonged to his father, a professional fighter who reportedly held the world bantamweight title during the 1940s.

'Sammy Hagar & Friends,' which also includes contributions from famous friends such as Neal Schon, Nancy Wilson, and Toby Keith, is due in stores on Sept. 24.
