'The Killing' star Joel Kinnaman has become our rebooted RoboCop, and the newly dropped 'RoboCop' trailer previews the jarring transformation he must endure to become the new breed of soldier.

Directed by José Padilha, the remake of the classic sci-fi actioner from the '80s features the same general storyline but with more of a political tinge. What would happen in a future where robots are utilized to their full extent for the art of warfare? Answer: RoboCop.

As the new international 'RoboCop' trailer previews, Kinnaman's Alex Murphy suffers a tragic accident only to awake and find himself remade in OmniCorp's image. The robot technology conglomerate in the year 2028 rebuilt him as a half-robot, half-human cop in order to eradicate crime in Detroit and further their own agenda -- but at what cost?

The new footage features all the same one-liners we've come to expect from the film, the apparent tagline being, "Dead or alive, you're coming with me." Also in the film are Michael Keaton, Gary Oldman, Abbie Cornish, Samuel L. Jackson, Jackie Earl Haley, Jennifer Ehle and Jay Baruchel.

Take a look at the new 'RoboCop' trailer above, and await the film's release on February 12, 2014.
