Well I hate to break it to ya kids, but apparently Tony Stark cut corners when designing his latest flying suit because he apparently stubbed his toe while showing off for the Iron Man 3 cameras. How embarrassing...

Well, not his toe really, but pretty close... Production for the third installment of the Iron Man franchise (or is it technically the 4th if you count Avengers?) has been temporarily put on hold because of an ankle injury that Robert Downey Jr. sustained during a stunt he was performing. He may be a billionaire but this embarrassing little debacle has put him out of work at least for the time being. Here's the official statement:

Robert Downey Jr. sustained an ankle injury on the set of Iron Man 3 in Wilmington, North Carolina while performing a stunt. There will be a short delay in the production schedule while he recuperates.

Rumor has it that Iron Man will be flying to China in order to take on his arch-nemesis Mandarin (Ben Kingsley) for this movie, so let's hope this super-villain isn't tech-savvy enough to find my blog cause I'd hate to be the guy that inadvertently brought down my favorite super hero or maybe at least Jarvis can fix up this annoying Achilles heel before we witness the duel in theaters come spring.
