Remembering Don Knotts On His 90th Birthday

Hulton Archive/Getty Images

Don Knotts, we all remember him as the goofy trigger happy deputy, Barney Fife on the Andy Griffith Show in the 60s.  Always by the book, he kept a single bullet in his shirt pocket and wasn’t allowed to load up unless Andy instructed him to do so.  Don would have been 90 today, but he passed away Feb 26, 2006 from complications from lung cancer.  Hard to narrow down the best clip of Barney Fife, but I think this one best sums up his character.  Take a look and enjoy a great memory from Don Knotts.
