One of my biggest fears is suffering from a heart attack. I don't know why, it's not like I'm completely unhealthy. I'm always on the lookout to find new ways to stay healthy, and this way seems pretty simple. According to a new study, If you're looking to reduce your chance of having a heart attack, the answer is get your teeth cleaned.

According to The USA Today, people who visit the dentist regularly to have their teeth cleaned lower their risk for heart attack or stroke. Researchers from Taiwan found that those who had their teeth scraped and cleaned by a dentist at least twice a year for two years had a 24 percent lower risk for heart attack and a 13 percent lower risk for stroke compared to those who visited the dentist less often.

Even though the drills bother me, I may schedule a new appointment after reading that study.
