Police Hunt For Gunman Who Shot At Firefighters Near Rochester [UPDATED with VIDEO]
Webster, NY (WIBX) – UPDATE: WHAM-TV (ABC) is reporting two firefighters are dead as houses continue to burn in Webster, New York.
Police continue to secure the scene and search for a gunman who opened fire on firefighters battling a blaze.
We are now receiving reports that two firefighters have been shot and killed at 191 Lake Road. Two others have been hospitalized.
The fire has now spread to three homes in the area. It is not known if anyone is inside. Rescuers are not able to return to the houses until police have cleared the area to ensure that no one else is shot. A SWAT team is on the scene.
Webster is near Rochester, near the shore of Lake Ontario.
