Shinji Mikami's return to third-person horror has been pushed back towards a spookier release date, but for the sake of consolation, Bethesda has announced The Evil Within's pre-order bonuses.

It looks as if Tango Gameworks and the godfather of survivor horror, Shinji Mikami, have asked for more time in order to polish up The Evil Within. Mikami was in charge of the Resident Evil franchise until 2006, and directed RE4. Many opinions out there attribute to the significant reduced amount of horror in Resident Evil 5 and 6 due to Mikami's absence from the projects.

Be ready to play as Detective Sebastian Castellanos and fight off inescapable terrors when The Evil Within debuts North America on Oct. 21 and throughout Europe on Oct. 24. Unfortunately, this is a bit further from its original, intended release date of Aug 26. The Evil Within will be released for PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

Pre-ordering the game will give you The Fighting Chance Pack. This downloadable content pack will include a double barrel shotgun, an incendiary agony bolt, a poison agony bolt, a medical kit and green gel (which is used to upgrade your abilities).
