Paul Simon is releasing a 2 disc collection, spanning 50 years of music, of what he believes is his best work. Simon, who believes he is a songwriter first and a recording artist second, won't be heard on every track on the 'Songwriter' collection. Simon choose Aretha Franklin's version of "Bridge Over Troubled Water" to appear on the collection over the hit version he sang with Art Garfunkel. 'Songwriter' will feature  favorites like "Kodachrome" and "Mother Child Reunion" along with lesser known songs that Simon feels very strongly about.
