According to a new study, gum helps students with math. Yup that’s right, a stick of Wrigley gum can help you do Trig. Researchers at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston found that eighth-graders who chewed gum during math class and homework time scored higher on standardized tests than their classmates who didn't have gum.

While the researchers aren't sure why gum chewing might raise grades, they suggest the chewing motion could increase blood flood to the brain or the repetitive chewing reduces stress.

So tell your kids to forget studying, just chew some gum!
