That's the word according to a little bird over at Disney and not Donald or Daisy duck either...

Well several little birds (Lucasfilm staffers) have quoted the new Lucasfilm president as saying that...

Lucasfilm’s co-chairman and soon-to-be president, Kathleen Kennedy, has told employees she wants the company to produce two or three films a year (it’s averaged fewer than four per decade), and first up is Star Wars: Episode VII for 2015.

I'm still trying to get used to the idea of new Star Wars movies coming out with someone other than Lucas at the helm and I don't know about you but I kind of liked having a good three years between new movies as it built up TONS of anticipation. If there's that many movies coming out so fast it might numb us to the awesomeness of the franchise and if this is true, our beloved cult classic may be relegated to made-for-tv releases. My red flags are up and I, for one hope this is a rumor and once Star Wars 7 comes out in 2015, let's wait until 2018 for the next one?
