New Paul Simon Documentary

A new documentary based on the 25th anniversary of Paul Simon’s “Graceland” album will make its debut next year at the Sundance Film Festival. Director Joe Berlinger, who won an Emmy and a Peabody award for his 1996 documentary “Paradise Lost”, says the new Simon documentary focuses on Paul’s return to Africa:

“It’s all about the musicians he hadn’t seen in all these years. It’s a perfect antidote to the tragedy that ['Paradise Lost'] has been,” Berlinger said.  – UPI.com

“Graceland” featured South Africa musicians and showcased the vocal group Ladysmith Black Mambazo. Simon was criticized for his trip to South Africa because, at that time, there was an anti-apartheid boycott in place.

I still remember watching the “Don’t Call Me Al” video with Chevy Chase at least a million times. The video still brings a smile to my face. One of the coolest videos ever made! Watch it here:
