Montana TV Station Warns Of Fake Zombie Apocalypse On EAS- This Played On The CW

It was announced that AMC’s “The Walking Dead” attracted an audience of 12.3 million viewers on Sunday night. This was its biggest audience ever. Zombie fever is in the air here in the U.S. Naturally we will continue to see pranks like this. In Montana, Someone hacked into the Emergency Alert System to warn residents of a zombie. We have that video here, and it’s amazing.
It aired on the CW network, and claimed that:
“the bodies of the dead [were] rising from their graves and attacking the living.”
The alert was quickly pulled off air and replaced with an apology from KRTV:
Someone apparently hacked into the Emergency Alert System and announced on KRTV and the CW that “dead bodies are rising from their graves” in several Montana counties.
This message did not originate from KRTV, and there is no emergency.
Our engineers are investigating to determine what happened and if it affected other media outlets.
