Dillion Gee cruised through seven-innings of three-hit ball as the Mets took down the Diamondbacks 5-2 to complete a three-game sweep in Arizona.

Gee (1-0) struck out three and walked none to snag his first win of the season.

Anthony Recker got New York on the board in the second with a solo homer and was one of three Mets with two hits and an RBI - along with  Daniel Murphy, David Wright.

Jose Valverde allowed back-to-back homers to Aaron Hill and Paul Goldschmidt in the ninth before retiring the next three D-backs to finish the game.

The Mets (8-7) open a ten game home stand on Friday night against the NL East leading Braves.
