Meet Virgina- Day 4 Of The 12 Strays Of Christmas

Oldiez 96.1 is putting the focus on our furry friends this Holiday Season! We’ve teamed up with the New Hartford Animal Hospital and we’re proud to present “The 12 Strays Of Christmas Pet Food and Adoption Drive”! Meet our fourth pet, Virgina.

Here's Virgina's bio:

Hello friends. Would you like to hear my shelter story, and get to know me a little bit? It all started back on December 23rd of 2011. I showed up here as a very friendly, 2 year old lab/terrier mix. Since it was Christmas time, and the staff around here was as creative as always, I got named VIRGINIA. I am a great lady who absolutely loves children. I have found that their little faces are always the sweetest to lick, (especially around the holidays!). But in general, I have gotten along with every person that I have ever met! I am extremely housebroken and great on walks. My shelter “family” thinks that I probably wasn’t socialized with other dogs before I arrived here, because I don’t really know how to play with them or interact with them that well. But I think it’s because I see myself as more human than dog, so I’m more geared towards them. Either way, I would do best as the only pet. But the more adults and kids, the merrier! As patient as I am trying to be I am just waiting for my perfect family to prove to me, “Yes, Virginia, there IS a Santa Claus!”
