Oldiez 96.1 is putting the focus on our furry friends this Holiday Season! We’ve teamed up with the New Hartford Animal Hospital and we’re proud to present “The 12 Strays Of Christmas Pet Food and Adoption Drive”! Meet our 12th pet, Dagwood the dog.

Here's Dagwood's bio:

Do you smell treats? No? Are you sure?! Well, anyway, my name is DAGWOOD and I am a 5-6 year old American Bulldog mix. I may look like a big ol’ lug, but I am as sweet as can be. I love going for walks, and if I’m wearing a harness, I am the best walker around! I came in as a stray back in June of this year and for some reason there haven’t been many inquiries on me yet. The staff and I just can’t figure out why either. I am extremely house broken. When I say that I mean, that I won’t go to the bathroom unless I am standing in the grass! Talk about self control! I don’t seem to mind many dogs, whether they’re male or female. And I don’t even bother with those furry little cat-things. I am very food driven and sometimes I don’t take treats as gentle as I should, but if you work with me, I’ll try to work with you! However I do not have food aggression. I don’t mind kids either they would just have to be supervised while giving me treats until we got this whole “gentle” thing down. I really would like to have a family of my own some day. I am waiting patiently, and until they come to find me, I will continue to work on being gentle. But in the mean time, if you do find those treats, would you let me know?

Would you want to add Dagwood to your family? Dagwood is currently available at the Herkimer County Humane Society. Give them a call at (315) 866-3255 or stop in for more details on how to add her to your family.
