Matthew Cordle Pleads Not Guilty Even After His ‘I Killed A Man’ Video

I saw this video a couple of days ago and the title of course made me watch. I had no idea what I was in for until I got into the video and was shocked that this guy was coming clean publicly like he was, seemingly waiving all of his rights to due process and a defense period. I was like this guy’s either really stupid or has amazing character. Now, I’m thinking it’s neither. Yesterday he pleaded ‘Not Guilty’ despite his heart-string-pulling video to the contrary. Watching the video now doesn’t have quite the same effect that it did the first time I saw it.

Apparently he’s still going to plead ‘Guilty’ at some point and this is just a legal maneuver to get the judge presiding over the case removed as if he pleads guilty now, the judge is locked in. Since his video is evidence, the only thing left is to decide how sever his penalty should be and looks like this judge may’ve been ready to dish out some severity on him. What does this mean? Well, to me it once again calls into question in my mind whether or not the legal system in it’s current format is more about justice and more like some kind of game that is ultimately driven by those with the most information about how to play and with the most dollars in their accounts. I really hope I’ve misread this whole thing but my gut (and experience) says otherwise.

Marijuana Now Legal In Colorado And Washington, What’s Next?

Wow, I can’t believe I’m even typing that headline, but it’s true. While most of us were watching election coverage on Tuesday, others were paying attention to a different sort of amendment. If you live in those states and are 21 and over, it is actually legal to carry an ounce and have several plants in their houses!
