It's time hit the nearest Mass Relay and party like we just cured the Genophage, because Shepard's epic war against the Reapers could be potentially coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

That's right, the Geth, Turians, Krogans, Asari, Quarian and Humans could all be coming to the next-gen format as Zmart, Chilean retail chain, has recently posted listings for both an Xbox One and a PS4 edition of the Mass Effect trilogy, according to VG247. Each of these postings feature the bundle's alleged box art for these two next-gen ports and they both look fairly convincing.

Given that Xtralife, another major South American retail franchise, originally posted the upcoming PS4 version The Last of Us just weeks prior to the game's official announcement, we have high hopes that Zmart's listing of a next-gen, optimized port of the Mass Effect trilogy was no accident or hoax.

To corraborate this story, Aaryn Flynn, the general manager for BioWare's Montreal and Edmonton studios, has previously stated the following on his Twitter in regards to a next-gen port of the Mass Effect trilogy, "we have discussed that internally. If we can put solid plans together we’ll share.”

Here's to hoping we'll get to see the Normandy with a shiny, next-gen makeover.
