Amanda Clayton of Michigan won one million dollars in the Michigan State Lottery. But, for some crazy reason she still was receiving food stamps after she won. Clayton was able to buy a new car, a new home, and live an all new life but apparently thought she was still entitled to assistance.

Clayton claims she is still struggling and continued to use the aid since the state continued to send it to her. How could she be struggling? She won a million! She bought a house! How is that struggling?

When Local 4 of Michigan asked if she felt she had a right to the money, Clayton responded with

“I mean I kinda do. I feel that it’s okay because I mean, I have no income and I have bills to pay,” she said. “I have two houses.”

Our sister station Banana 101.5 is reporting that the Department of Human Services has now pulled the $200 dollars a month in food stamps Clayton was receiving. Click here to read more.
