Looking For A Haunted House? Try Oneida

If you are looking to scare up a little fun check out The Collinwood Inn located in Oneida.

The Collinwood was built in the 1860s by a local business owner and respected citizen of Oneida. He passed away in the home as did two other residents, they are all believed to remain there to this day. Some of the other guests at The Collinwood have reported unexplained phenomena while staying there, ranging from phantom cats in their rooms to lights turning on and off by themselves. Others have witnessed apparitions,  shadow figures, ghostly voices, and strange sounds.

In a recent investigation I attended with The New York Shadow Chasers we were able to get some great EVP's (ghostly voices) from the basement where a doctor used to have his laboratory. We also took a trip upstairs to where in one of the rooms we actually got a spirit to turn a flash light off and on by asking it to do so. The Inn is so active that they frequently invite guests and others to experience the activity first hand.
