Legendary Songwriter Jerry Leiber Dies

You may not recognize the name, but you know the music he wrote. Jerry Leiber, half of the songwriting team of Leiber and Stoller, died yesterday in Los Angeles. Leiber was 78. Together Leiber and Mike Stoller wrote “Jailhouse Rock”, “Hound Dog”, “Love Potion No. 9″, “Stand By Me”, “On Broadway”, and “Kansas City”. Leiber and Stoller were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1987.
