Kiss have given a few more details about their upcoming album, ‘Monster.’ The first single is ‘Hell or Hallelujah’ and will be released July 2. The artwork, which features the four band members in full Kiss makeup and a silver version of the Kiss logo, is seen to the left.

During our exclusive interview with Gene Simmons, the bassist praised ‘Monster’ for being a true collaboration by the band. “We sat together in the same room for the first time in decades and came up with some pretty classic stuff, ” he said. “It could be one of our top two or three records ever…You’ll hear everybody in the band singing lead…My favorite records are band records where nobody is trying to take over and push their weight around.”

In January, Paul Stanley, who produced the record, agreed that the band dynamic is key to the album’s success. “Chemistry and camaraderie, that’s essential,” he said. “That’s what made ‘Sonic Boom’ so great and this album is thunderously better.”
